I am so sorry I have been neglecting you. I have been on vacation in Florida for the past week and a half visiting The Husband. It's amazing here.
On top of that, we dealt with two separate financial emergencies.
One of our joint credit card numbers were stolen from a website we had made a purchase from and was automatically cancelled by Visa once it was discovered. It was the card that The Husband had put the rental cars on because the GTC he was issued only has a limit high enough to cover the cost of the hotel room. Some mild panicking ensued. I prepared to scream like hell at Bank of America once the nice customer service rep told me the card had been cancelled with no explanation and gave me the number to the fraud hotline (We haven't been on good terms with BofA since they double charged our account $4,500 putting us several thousand in the hole for a week, after they told us they had filed a claim on our behalf when really, they hadn't. We promptly switched to USAA as soon as we had our money back... but that's another blog for another day).
Then, The Husband's wallet was lost/stolen. Thankfully, his military ID was not in the wallet so he still has that. We're hoping it'll turn up, that someone will do the right thing and turn it in, or that we'll find it in some obscure place close to where it was last seen, but so far, those dreams are dwindling.
I've become very familiar with the term FUBAR throughout this month.
FUBAR is a stupid word.
FUBAR describes stupid things.
I guess it fits.
The Husband will be done with the first phase of his crew chief school next week and I couldn't be more relieved. This phase has not been kind to us. Here's hoping phases 2, 3, and 4 are much nicer. And soon.

I'm sorry things have been such a mess in Florida! I'm so glad you get to be there and have fun with T, though :-) And I bet he's extra happy that you've been there with all of these stressful things happening!
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, when are you coming home? I started looking at the calendar in July and think I might come out for a short Thursday-Friday break.
