They're taking my wisdom

Friday morning, bright and early, my wisdom teeth will be coming out. All four. All at the same time.

Oh dear.

They are knocking me out. Fear not, I haven't entirely ruled out being filmed during recovery. Though I'm not sure if they'll allow anyone back there for it.

I plan on milking the heck out of it this weekend (should I keep that quiet until after?). It's not often where I get to be waited on hand and foot, so I'm going to take full advantage of it.

But truth be told, I'm scared. Very, very scared. Not of the pain, not of the payment (Which was surprisingly low. Thanks United Concordia!)... of the anesthesia. I've never had surgery, so going under gives me the heeby jeebies. I'm trying not to worry. Some of my friends said it was some of the best sleep they've had, so I'm trying to look at it that way.

I'll keep you updated. In the meantime, enjoy this video. It's the only thing keeping me from cancelling my appointment on Friday.

  1. I had never gone under before my wisdom tooth surgery either, but it wasn't nearly as bad as what I thought it would be. And I got to milk it for 2 weeks because of some complications of a small jaw but I think you will be fine. I will say some extra prayers for you on Friday morning.

  2. It wasn't too bad, I walked out by myself. When I got home I folded some laundry, did the dishes and watched t.v. until hubby got home. The next two days after that were what hurt in my opinion, I had hubby doing everything and barely left the bed.

  3. I JUST got my wisdom out last week! Very easy and fast. Sure I'm sore, but it's not as bad as I was expecting!
