Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day!

The Friday before Mother's Day is Military Spouse Appreciation Day.

I'll be celebrating it by working. Ha! And participating in the Military Spouse Appreciation Day Blog Hop being hosted by Household 6 Diva. Head on over and check it out!

I love being a military spouse. Truly.

Of course, being a military spouse has some moments that make me want to pull my hair out. But that's life, isn't it?

I thought I would make a list of reasons why I love being a Marine wife.

1: I've met tons of amazing new friends.
2: Free healthcare (let's be honest, this is awesome).
3: Tax free designer purses!
4: I've been given the opportunity to travel to a bunch of cool places within the US.
5: Pride.
6: My husband in his dress blues.
7: Making homecoming banners.
8: That first kiss after a deployment.
9: Free personal trainers on base (I really need to start taking advantage of this).
10: Birthday balls.

Can you think of any more reasons?

  10. Hello, thanks for coming by my blog from the Milspouse Appreciation Blog Hop! It's nice to meet you! You mentioned when you commented about debating about maybe getting a sewing machine, and I say go for it! You can get a fairly basic model that will do straight stitches and zigzag stitches for under $100, and that's all you really need starting out. And it's a lot of fun! If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, I'll help you the best I can! (And I'm a worrier at heart too!)

Happy Milspouse Appreciation Day! And by the way, that's a great list you've got going there! from Anastasia @ wildbluewonders.blogspot.com

  12. I'm stopping in from the Blog Hop. I also think free healthcare is pretty awesome. I haven't bought any designer purses but for those who use them that is cool. As far as I know the personal trainers here aren't free (they have a flyer online with their rates talking about packages anyhow). For me, one of the best things is that they were kind enough to give us orders to Germany a couple months after we got married.
