Really? REALLY?

So, my university is facing some unprecedented budget cuts.

If these happen, tuition will increase almost 5 times AND professors will be laid off which would lead to fewer classes and entire programs disappearing. So not only would it be more expensive to get an education, it'll take longer.

On top of this, the school is facing losing it's accreditation.

A big "W-T-F" to that.

Nobody knows how soon it could happen. The rumor is about 2 years. I'm REALLY hoping that's true.

Can you imagine? I spent the last 2 years of my life not only trying to catch up (seriously, taking 18 credits two semesters in a row is cause for a psychiatric hold as far as I'm concerned), but those 2 years were spent away from my husband. If my degree isn't worth the paper it's printed on, it'll all be for absolutely NOTHING.

Everything I can find is telling me that as long as I get out with my degree while the school is still accredited, I'm in the clear, even if they lose it later.

69 days. I need my university to hang on for 69 days.

I also really need Nevada's politicians to do their people a solid here.

Ugh. What a mess.
