What is wrong with people?

Why is it so hard for people to be polite and nice?

I mean this seriously.

Today, I let someone out of a parking lot onto a busy road since he would've been waiting forever had I not and nobody else was interested in letting him go. No acknowledgement whatsoever. How hard is it to lift your hand 5 inches into the view of a window to say "Hey, thanks for letting me out!"? I mean really.

When we got into that accident in January, ONE person stopped to ask if we were okay. ONE. I saw 3 people slow down to take pictures, but only one stopped to make sure we were fine.

And I see this all the time. You hold a door open for one person, 10 walk through and maybe 2 say "Thanks".

I don't get it. What is so difficult about a "Please" and a "Thank you"?

  1. I'm with ya! People are to self involved and selfish anymore. Its really sad. Are you serious that people were taking pictures of your wreck? Good grief.

  2. Yes! I couldn't even believe what I was seeing. I thought they were slowing down to stop and help, but each time, they just rolled down their windows, stuck their phones out, and then drove off.

    Thanks, a-holes!

  3. It's Vegas. Wait until you get to North Carolina. Completely different atmospere. In Vegas you don't know your neighbors, it's considered creepy if you say hi or smile at a randon person... yea, you know. It's polar opposite in NC.

  7. Move to my town. People say please and thank you it's a bit annoying.

Although, I don't know what I'll do if I move back home and people don't open my doors for me.
